Razor Point Pullover

$9.50 (PDF DOWNLOAD)

This pattern is part of VERNAL: Collection of warm weather knitwear book. You can also purchase the book here.

Any warm-weather wardrobe needs a lightweight pullover, a perfect companion to your favorite pair of jeans or shorts. The Razor Point is a perfect example of such a garment. The featherweight fabric of this top-down piece goes from the plain stockinette on the top of the body and sleeves to the striped lacy chevrons in two colors. I chose pastel hues for this design, but you may choose any of your favorite colors.

The round and smooth Miss Babs Woodberry, the Merino and Tussah silk blend works up in an airy fabric with a crisp hand. It blocks well which shows off the lace pattern in a best possible way.

Notes

•  This pullover is worked back and forth in one piece from the top down. The upper back is worked in rows, starting at the shoulder line with a Provisional cast on. Shoulders are shaped using Short-Rows. After the back is completed to the underarm, live stitches from the Provisional cast on are used for the front. The two pieces are then joined, and the lower body is worked in the round in one piece to the lower edge.

•  Stitches for sleeves are picked up along the armholes and worked in the round from the top down.

•  Chart is worked in the round; all rounds are read from right to left.

•  Stitch pattern is charted and has written instructions.
