Introducing our cozy and chic Stockport Cardigan, the epitome of timeless elegance and warmth. The classic silhouette of the cardigan is versatile and flattering, making it suitable for various occasions.

This cardigan is worked in one piece from the bottom up to the underarms. Fronts and back are worked separately. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armhole and the sleeves are worked in the round from the top down.

36 (40, 44, 48, 52, 56), {60, 64, 68, 72)”/90 (100, 110, 120, 130, 140), {150, 160, 170, 180} cm bust circumference, buttoned.

Cardigan shown measures 44”/110 cm with 6”/15 cm ease on model.

Gauge 

21 stitches and 30 rows = 4”/10 cm in Reverse Stockinette stitch on US 5/3.75 mm, after blocking.

24 stitches and 30 rows = 4”/10 cm Cable pattern on US 5/3.75 mm, after blocking.

Tools

Size US 5/3.75 mm: 32”/80 cm circular and set of double-pointed needles.

Size US 4/3.5 mm: 32”/80 cm circular and set of double-pointed needles.

Optional: spare circular US 4/3.5 mm needle 32”/80 cm long for Tubular Cast On.

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Yarn: 

Approximately 1100 (1230, 1350, 1470, 1600, 1720), {1840, 1960, 2080, 2200} yards/1000 (1120, 1230, 1340, 1455, 1565), {1675, 1785, 1893, 2002} m of DK weight yarn.
